Gas
CompAir compressors for the widest range of industrial gases
CompAir's R and H series piston compressors are able to handle a wide variety of gases, depending on the application, typically these gases are argon, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, ethane, ethylene, helium, hydrogen, landfill bio gas, methane natural gas, neon, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, oxy-helium, sulphur hexaflouride and xenon.

CompAir can also provide compression and delivery systems for natural gas fuelling of micro turbines and gas boost applications up to 5.5 bar g (80 psig). The VG series of vane gas boost compressors are offered in modular format to allow customers to choose the level of pre-packaging required.
Compressed Natural Gas compression modules
There are 7 basic compression modules which make up the HGP series. Each module is a self contained skid mounted, fully enclosed compressor package. They contain all you need to compress, filter and deliver CNG into a storage facility, or direct to a dispenser with the option of integral or remote control panels.
All the HGP series compressors have a minimum design capability of 350 bar g, normally operating at 250 bar g for fast fill applications and 200 bar g for slow fill systems. CompAir can supply the complete system with storage modules and dispensing options of either fast and or slow fill (for overnight filling of vehicles) dispensing options.
Capacities of the HGP series range from 12 to 1150 m3/hr
CompAir is one of the leaders in the design, manufacture and installation of ready-to-run CNG fuelling systems.
As the Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) industry has grown word-wide, so has CompAirs reputation as a supplier. We offer a total CNG solution for design, construct and installation project-management throughout Australasia and overseas.
During the build up of CNG facilities in New Zealand in the 1980s, CompAir installed some 120 stations.
CompAir Australasia has been working with CNG technology for well over 20 years. We have been supplying and installing units not only in Australia and New Zealand, but also in China, South East Asia and the sub-continent.
CompAir has also supplied CNG compressors to the Gas and Fuel Corporation of Victoria and to the Ford Motor Company and Carlton United Breweries in the mid 1980s to operate their large forklift fleets. These installations are still in operation, using CompAir equipment.
Recent installations in Australia include a public refuelling station at Arndale Park, NSW for Agility Management and the bus refuelling depot for the Brisbane City Council with Queensland-based energy company Energex. Ltd.
Under Construction April 2001 - The largest CNG station in Australia, this site will service 120 Scania buses for the Brisbane City Council. Using CompAirs 5470 cpmpressors, this station will compress nearly 3,200 cubic metres of gas every hour.
CompAir Australasia is a member of the Australasian Natural Gas Vehicles Council and holds full ISO 9001 accreditation and are supplied to operate to local quality and installed to approved standards.
